Pascal\u2019s triangle was invented by Blaise Pascal during his autistic period. Intending to prove that the shortest distance between two points was a metric foot, he stumbled upon the following pattern achieved by adding the sum of the other to the one before and just a jump to the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blaise got the idea for this triangular configuration while watching light bulbs flash on the family Christmas tree.
